Kaiser Permanente recently notified its Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) members of a change to its dental benefits administrator. Kaiser Permanente dental benefits are now provided through Liberty Dental. The previous administrator was Dominion National.
The Kaiser Permanente medical plan includes a limited schedule of benefits for in-network dental care for both adult and pediatric patients. This is built into the Kaiser Permanente medical plan. Participants pay $30 for a dental exam and cleaning. More extensive care is offered at fixed fees. See the schedule of dental benefits for adult and pediatric patients.
The change in Kaiser Permanente’s dental benefits administrator has no effect on CareFirst or Aetna dental plan coverages. The Kaiser Permanente dental plan provides an additional option for your dental care needs.
